The BEST Chocolate Chip Cookies

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES – BEST I’VE EVER HAD!!

Always double this because half of the dough will end up in your mouth! This recipe was given to me by my awesome friend Sara. Get ready for the best cookies of your life.

1.25 cups unsalted butter (soft)

1.5 cups brown sugar

1 cup white sugar

cream together – I let the mixer mix for 2-3 minutes

Add 2 eggs

1.5 tsp vanilla

cream again

3.5 cups flour , 1.25 tsp baking powder, 1.25 tsp baking soda, 2 tsp kosher salt

I use both semi sweet, milk chocolate, and dark chocolate.

Bake at 350 for 9-10 minutes.

Tips:

Always double it.

I use vanilla sugar. You make this by having vanilla beans mixed with white sugar. I always have a jar of this in my pantry. I’ve had the same vanilla beans for a long time and just keep adding more sugar.

I use half dark brown sugar and half regular brown sugar.

This tip is most important. I refrigerate the dough overnight minimum. This really changes the texture of the cookies. Sometimes I’ll wait a couple days to bake them. Make them large;they taste better that way.

Good Luck! May you all be winners.

xx,

Sara & Jenna

Also I use my kitchen aid when baking. I switch the mixer attachment to this ONE. I also use parchment paper or silicone liners to put the cookie dough on the cookie sheets. I never place the dough right on the cookie sheets. And make sure you have a cookie scoop!

  1. What cream are you talking about and how much. How long do you let the cookie dough soften before baking?

    Thank you kristie

  2. The recipe says cream? Like cream? Or cream of tarter? How much??

    Thank you

    • Hi Sara! Looking forward to trying these cookies. Do you know how much cream should be used ?

  3. If you use your cookie scoop to make balls of dough before you put it in the refrigerator, you don’t need to “un-thaw” before baking. (I assume that you are “un-thawing” so that the dough is soft enough to scoop.) We’ve been using this method for years in my house.

  4. This is kindof a silly question but do you let the dough un-thaw a bit before baking? I took my dough out of the fridge and it’s pretty hard! Thanks and can’t wait to try!

    • yes! Like 10-15 is perfect to un thaw. Oh man, I wish I had some cookie dough right now! jealous. xx

  5. Excited to see if we will love these cookies as much as the Sea Salt Chocolate Chip Cookies from Brooke you posted a while back! Those are a favorite around here. I made this new recipe today and dumped in a bunch of chocolate chips until it looked right… but was wondering how much chocolate chips you add, since the recipe doesn’t specify? Thanks so much! I have loved the Better You series with food suggestions, workout tips, and smoothie/power ball recipes! Thanks!

    • good question! I just dump until it looks right too. I’ll ask Sara and get back to you. 🙂 And thanks for reading and your kind words. I really love this series as well. xx
