Lorna Jane

Let me introduce you to an amazing fitness line, Lorna Jane. I’m pretty crazy about this line. Lorna Jane’s message to women is full of empowerment and to lead your best life through active living. The pieces she designs make you want to get out of bed and get moving! The breezy tops, cool prints and fitted leggings are my favorite. Especially the high waisted leggings I’m wearing below. I just might have them in every color. 🙂

There are a couple things I do to keep me motivated and to keep my fitness goals as a priority in my life.

1.Try something new. I plan one new activity once a week to get me excited about doing a workout with a friend or a new class. Research your area and find something new to push you. A few things I’ve tried: trapeze classes,megaformer pilates, barre, booty burn classes, dance class, zumba,CST50, Barry’s Bootcamp, hiking.The list is never ending. I also schedule personal training sessions with friends to keep me committed and to keep it fun. If you live in NYC, you need to do YOGA in Bryant Park. Every Thursday in New York City you can count on free yoga mats and instruction by the best teachers. All you need to do is show up!

2.I take at least one SoulCycle class a week with my favorite instructor and class. The energy is so high and your fitness goals are staring you right in the face. It’s super motivating.

3.HAVE A TEAM! This is so important to me. Find a handful of people that are always on your team. I find that if I have a “fitness team” I reach my goals faster and I stay committed. Meet up with them at least once a week. Take classes together or plan a training session together. In the summer we even meet up at the beach while our kids play in the water. I’d never work out at the beach alone but I will with my team. My team is also my family. I love hiking with them and doing “sports night” at the track. It’s all about living an active lifestyle. Keep moving is my motto.

I’m wearing my high waisted leggings with this twister sleeve top .  It’s my favorite top to wear over sports bras or a tank. It’s easy to wear after a workout to run errands in.
