hair tutorials:beach waves, knots, and braids + Moroccan oil giveaway

When we started getting requests on hair ideas, I knew the perfect person to help! Marissa is one of my closest friends, in fact my only single friend in Arizona. I may be old enough to be mistaken for her mom(it happened), but our friendship just works! It would have been very lonely the past 3 years if it weren’t for Rissa. Sadly, the day has come for this friend to move away from Arizona. As excited for her as I am, I will miss our dinner dates, our texting marathon’s while we sit on the same couch, and I will miss my hair stylist!
We had a rough time getting through these amateur tutorials. Then we added my bombshell sister Maury to the mix. The three of us together was a serious struggle to keep a straight face.
My hope is that you learn a couple of tips you didn’t know before or weren’t exactly sure how to do. Thanks for watching!

Steps to remember:
1. Curl AWAY from your face.
2. Hold your iron vertical.
3. Hairspray is your friend.
4. BRUSH your curls out.
5. Curls look best 2nd and even 3rd day.

Our hair essentials:
Hot iron! Two favorites HERE and HERE (remove clamp with screw driver)
Hairspray HERE
Boar bristle brush HERE

  1. Ahhh I love Moroccan Oil! Now that I have moved away from the dry heat and into the humidity, MO is the only thing that helps keep my hair tame. Love, love, love the beachy curls tutorial. Everything looks fab!

  2. I totally know how you feel Lisa! I am a new stay at home mom in Los Angeles (where no one stays at home) with a husband that works very long hours! It can be so isolating, sad she leaving you 🙁 Love the post!

  3. Great tutorial! This is how I usually style my hair, but more of a side part b/c I just can’t get mine centered enough! Any tips for that??? 🙂 I also like the idea of brushing the hair afterwards instead of just picking it out–worked like a charm! Thanks ladies! 🙂

  4. I love following you gals. You are all stunning and always have great tips. I’ve been wanting to try this product so I’m hoping I win this great give away!!
