farmtastick…

So grateful that the talented Keli Roche agreed to do another post on our blog.  She is the real deal and truly has a great eye for all things beautiful.  Such a clean and simple style with always updated looks.  I love that she knows how to do it on a budget.  A girl after my own heart.  She is available for hire if you live in the southern california area.  I can’t wait to have her help me with our new home.  Take it away Kel…

this post is about a journey that started in february 2012 when my younger brother blair
bought a little piece of property in a small surf town called cardiff by the sea. the location is UNREAL, but the potential was even more exciting!! his dream of owning a home in this city was coming true, while mine was as well when he asked if i would help him with the whole designing and decorating process. i wish i could sit & share every little detail with you, but holy crap, there’s not enough blogger, blog, blogspot space in the universe to hold all of that info.

i can tell you that it is NOT done, that we have been a pretty darn good brother/sister team, and that blair deserves this house. he works hard, really hard. creating a refuge for him and his little frenchy easton has been nothing more than a pleasure. so w/out further words (not possible) w/ just a few more words, i’m just going to let the some good, some bad, some in the morning some in the evening pictures speak for themselves.

WORK OUT/ collectall for now ROOM

even though blair surfs and is surrounded by surfers and is now living steps away from the beach and has traveled to stunning places that i can’t even pronounce to surf… ironically he didn’t want one picture of waves, or water or anything else relating to surfing. instead he wanted the feel of our grandparents farm house that is so incredibly near and dear to all of our hearts. so we’ve infused his collection of unique artwork & some beautifully crafted woodwork w/ some old school farmy barny accessories and i think we’re attacking that vision! this + that  = FARMTASTICK @ the beach!

hope these pictures made you happy happy happy!
(insert phil robertson’s voice from duck dynasty- the best show on tv & pretty fitting for this post?)
even happier to keep you updated on “farmtastick” over @ my blog

that was fun.

  1. Love the renovation…so good!! And love seeing the wood from the USS North Carolina!! I live in Wilmington where the battleship is docked and I went as a kid and now my children visit it. It is one of the first things you see when you drive into Wilmington!!
