Best of Allure – Beauty Bargains

When I’m around Nichole Whiting I always leave wanting to be a better person. She is beautiful inside and out.  Did you read this post about the cardio sandwhich she wrote? It changed my life!  Nichole is sharing some of her beauty secrets  today. Lucky us! She has a connection with ALLURE magazine and whittled down her list of favorite beauty products to just 10!

Hair, Skin and Nails Products To Try and Love!

These products were recommended by Allure in their ‘Best of Beauty’ issue. I love the gals at Allure, they know their stuff and recommend products across all price-points! A good beauty product doesn’t have to be expensive to work well, and most of these products are a bargain! Here are just a few of my favorites:

1) This oil is fabulous for dry hair. You can use lots of ways, but my favorite is to pump 4 drops on my hand and spread it in my clean wet hair (with emphasis on the ends). I let it air dry until barely damp, then blow dry my hair. It’s so nourishing, like a light leave-in conditioner!

2) This is like a light spray pomade perfect for defining your layers! 4-6 sprays around your head is plenty. It will feel waxy at first but pull your fingers through to the ends and your layers will show up without frizz. If you curl your hair, spray it lightly throughout and tousle like crazy- a great beachy summer look. (It’s cute in my boy’s hair too, defines his shag haircut with just two sprays!)

3) Since it’s not good to wash your hair every day, I love a good dry shampoo after I work out. Normally I hate the smell of aerosol dry shampoos but this spray is so refreshing and light with no smell!  6-8 sprays at the root of your hair (mostly at the hairline), brush through, and style!

4) When using a lot of product to style your hair, it can look dull when you’re finished. Among other uses, this creme puts the gloss back. After styling use just one pump, spread on your palms, and run lightly from top to ends of your hair.

5) This top coat is gorgeous. It says it performs like a gel and its true! It is perfect for an event. I love a sheer pinky polish like Essie Bubble Bath with this top coat – it is perfect for a night out. Looks great on a pedicure too!

6) This  face mask is fabulous for me, my preteen daughter, and my husband! We all use it! Anything on your face, it is drawn out and your skin is left feeling really clarified and clean without being sucked dry. AMAZING on my husband’s nose, as well as my t-zone.

7) It was Jenna who first turned me on to this vitamin C serum, and it has changed my skin as well as several of my friends’. Under moisturizer, use 5 drops on your face, then one drop to share under each eye. Works as an antioxidant and works on fading dark spots.

8) This eye cream is different, it is meant to be used morning and also any time during the day under the eyes, like a pick-me-up! It has a glowing reflective color that lightens and also contains caffeine which helps majorly with de-puffing!

9) The benefits of Vitamin C on your face are huge, and this mask hydrates and freshens without feeling heavy or oily. It is the easiest mask to apply, because it is on a pre-cut tissue that fits your face! Easy and quick to use!

10) After a cat nap in the day, or before going out at night. This wakes up your face and gives your skin a second life without re-washing and starting over. My skin feels refreshed and lifted- slight touch-up of powder and I’m ready to go!

xx,

Jenna & Nichole
