beauty secrets

In the world of beauty, there are endless amounts of tips and secrets everywhere you look. But, I have to say the beauty secrets that I end up using are the ones shared by my own circle of girlfriends. This past weekend I went to Philly with 9 other ladies to see our dear friend who recently moved from New York City. I have to say that the BEST beauty secrets are shared on girls trips and this is my complete list of beauty favorites. Some are on my wish list for Christmas and also make wonderful gifts for friends. I’d love to hear what your favorite products are.

1. Jo Malone fragrances are by far my favorite around. The Nectarine Blossom is AMAZING! Every time I wear it people ask what I’m wearing. It’s fresh, a little fruity and simply the best fragrance out there. I’m also a huge fan of the Trisha McEvoy Blackberry Vanilla. I switch between the Jo Malone and Trisha perfume. They are my absolute fav and would make great gifts.
2. Tis the season for pretty red lips. Mac always offers a great line up. I’ve been wearing(ALL FIRED UP). It’s the perfect red in my opinion.
3. This Bobbi Brown shadow palette is too good not to share with your friends. The pigment in the shadows stays on for hours. It’s the prettiest set and pretty perfect for creating holiday eyes or keeping it natural. The sky’s the limit with this assortment of shades.
4. BB cream for EYES! It also includes an spf 15 in it. I feel younger when I wear it. Wrinkles and imperfections fade away. This stick is always in my purse. It’s a really great hidden secret that will change your life!
5. Mascara is hard for me to commit to. I always try recommendations because I don’t have a favorite. That is until I found Giorgio Armani (EYES TO KILL) It lengthens, thickens, everything you want your lashes to look like. It’s pretty great stuff!
6. Read #8 on my list first. This La Mer concentrate goes on the skin before the La Mer cream. It will change your life!
7. Hands down – best BLUSH in town. Always has been my favorite. Doesn’t cause break outs and is a great shade – called orgasm
8. La Mer! On the girls trip I had a La Mer moisturizing cream lesson + facial. I can’t believe how incredible this cream is. It’s definitely pricey but now I know why. I asked my friend what she was doing to her skin. I mean it was glowing, lifted and flawless. She wasn’t wearing an ounce of make up and her skin looked so smooth.  She told me she had been using La Mer products and they changed her skin so much! This makes an amazing Christmas present. They are hosting a gift with purchase right now.

9. Lightweight flawless coverage for your skin is exactly what I love. This tinted moisturizes leaves the skin glowing and also carries a spf20. It’s the perfect tinted moisturizer. I’ve used it for years and won’t trade it out.

10. This is the best product to get your eye make-up off. It smells really good and does the perfect job. It’s so important to keep your eyes hydrated, even while removing your make-up.

xx,

Jenna

  1. I love Jo Malone also! My favorite is Earl Grey & Cucumber. If you love her fragrances, you will love Nest. My favorite perfume by Nest is Amazon Lily. You have to try it ASAP! As far as mascara, I am the same way. I have committed to Chanel though. I’ve bought it three times now. Recently, I was introduced to the Dior primer and wasn’t totally into it at first but I kept trying it. I use that paired with my Chanel and WHOA. I have pictures on my Instagram: mrsespiritu … 🙂 I had samples sent to me from La Mer and have gone back and forth because it’s so expensive. However, I spare nothing to good products. Last year my hubby bought me a Mason Pearson brush and it’s been worth every cent. I may have to ask for La Mer for Christmas this year. Thanks for the recommendations!

    • Thanks! I loved reading through this. I’m def going to try Nest! And looks like LaMer will be under the tree for both of us 🙂 xx-Jenna
