good Hair day

Hair products and styling tools can make all the difference for a good hair day!  Every now and then I’m asked what I use to style my hair. First, I wash my hair once or twice per week. I used to blow it out each time and now that I’m at the beach most days I let it air dry. However, when I take the time to blow and style my hair is when I’m asked ” Is your hair real? How do curl it that way?” My hair stylist/friend Marissa taught me all the tricks I need to recreate a salon blowout at home.

These are products I use, love and trust!

Check out the quick beach waves tutorial below:

1. Oribe is product line I seem to use a lot of. This shampoo has such a rich lather and even though the bottle isn’t huge, it lasts a long time!

2. I use It’s a 10 hair masque each time I wash my hair. I’ll focus mainly on my ends and then wrap my hair in a bun for a couple mins while I shave my legs then rinse.

3. Dry shampoo is one product I’ve tried over a dozen of. I like a couple different brands but the Big Sexy seems to the one I buy over and over.

4. Ahh..a good hair dryer can make a big difference! I love the T3 dryer!

5. I believe in a root boost. I love taking a golfball size of Oribe’s Grandiose and apply it at my base before I blow dry.

6. Styling tools are an investment. My mom always said ” you get what you pay for”. That statement is very true when it comes to flat irons, curling irons, etc. I love Sultra tools, a lot! They get super hot and don’t pull on your hair as you flat iron. My hair is perfectly smooth every time!

7. It’s a 10 leave-in spray is a popular item around this house. I use it on all my kids and myself. Detangles in a instant!

8. If you’ve followed this blog from the start you’ve seen this Sultra curl stick mentioned several times. I use the 1.5 inch rod but if your hair is shorter I recommend the 1 inch barrel. I prefer a stick over a traditional clamp iron. For me, I have better control over my curls when using a stick.

9. Oribe’s beach spray the perfect beach spray! Smells amazing and doesn’t give the crunchy feeling a lot of beach sprays do. I use this once my hair is dry and curled spraying halfway down my hair towards my ends. You don’t need much of this.

10. My latest obsession thanks to my hair girl, Marissa is Oribe’s Royal Blowout! I’m serious. If you have dry or frizz in your hair, BUY THIS!

11. Finally, The Wet Brush has change our world for the better.:) I still don’t understand how they created a brush this amazing but they did and I’m thankful. Long gone are days of kids crying as you brush wet hair. Pinky promise.
