real mom : Angela O'Brien of Cleobella

 Angela O’Brien is the type of woman you meet and instantly feel at ease. This soon to be mother of two is as gracious as she is gorgeous. She is the creator behind Cleobella.  If you haven’t visited her Southern California store, you must! Not only is the building beautiful, but you walk inside to find unique bohemian clothes, bags, accessories and the most adorable baby items, including little harem pants. Celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker, Halle Berry, and Heidi Klum are all big fans of Cleobella!

I’ve loved getting to know this weeks real mom. She really is the best of the best! Meet Angela, of Cleobella...

Tell us how Cleobella came to be?

After my husband and I were married we left our jobs and decided to live out our dreams and travel the world for a solid year. The trip was designed around the surf! We lived in a camper van in Europe, traveled all through Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and South Africa. It was in Bali, the land of the Gods, where I designed Cleobella’s signature Mexicana Clutch-It is the ultimate travel clutch and the best way for me to stay organized as a Mom.
This mind-body experience was the beginning of envisioning the lifestyle we were searching for and creating a business that would give us the freedom to work for ourselves and travel the world.

Where do you find your design inspiration?

Stepping away from my comforts of home and opening my mind to a new culture is where I find most of my inspiration. In late January we returned from a trip to Morocco which has inspired my new developments for Spring 2015.

What has surprised you the most since becoming a mother?

Motherhood is my proudest accomplishment! The love I have for my children are more than I could have ever imagined possible. What has really surprised me about motherhood is how much life has speed up. I thought I was busy before children…there is really no camparison to how busy I am now…life is non-stop!

How do you stay fit?

Most of my mornings are spent walking on the beach, it’s my son’s favorite playground and my favorite place to get excerise and download my thoughts for the day. I used to be a runner before kids and I hope to get back into it after my daughter is born!

Must have beauty item?

Organic Coconut Oil-It’s the best natural body moisturizer.

Must have baby item?

I don’t leave home without Cleobella’s baby ikat blankets…it’s my favorite accessory in my stroller!

What has been your biggest craving this pregnancy?

Anything with salt! I was very sick in the beginning with our daughter and anything salty relieved the nausea feeling.

What’s the first thing you do in the morning?

Cuddles and kisses my babes! It’s what gets me out of bed in the morning.

How do you spend your “me” time?

Scheduling a massage for myself is the biggest treat! It’s my favorite way to clear my head and energize my body.
