New York Botanical Gardens

If you have a botanical garden in your area, go with your family! We went for Mother’s Day and had the best time.  It was so fun, we had to go back to the ticket window after a few hours to buy a family season pass. They even had a taco food truck on site. After walking around in the sun, tacos and guac never sounded better. The New York Botanical Garden looks like a dream right now. The Cherry Blossom Row was incredible. The peonies and lilac garden were amazing. We played hide and seek, airplane and tag, all along the way to keep the kids happy about all the walking. You could end up walking miles if you don’t use the tram.

I’m obsessed with the designer I’m wearing above. I discovered her while we were students at Northwestern in Chicago. I knew in a few months we would be moving to NYC. My goal was to find her store on the Upper West Side and wait outside until she came to work so I could meet her. I dreamed of  meeting her and trying on every piece in her line. Now that I’ve met her and been in her showroom, I think back on that moment as a starving student in Chicago. Dreams come true, even the small ones that nobody understands but you. If you want it to happen, you can definitely make it happen. One of my favorite pieces in her line are the maxi skirts. The fit is flattering while the prints are always changing. I won’t even say how many Yumi Kim pieces I have. She’s my favorite! Oh and this DRESS almost sold out. Get it while you can. It’s stunning.

  1. Love all of the selections. Some are kind of pricey, but still beautiful! I don’t like to spend a ton on clothes, especially when I know they will go on sale. I have a blog and I buy specifically from other blogs to support the business. I buy most from looks under $50 and $100.00. Shoes are a different story! Love when you post looks under 100!
