3 things on my mind…

Another eyelet top caught my attention. Last week I showed you this LONG SLEEVE BLOUSE (it’s amazing!) and today I’ve got eyelet in the form of a SWEATER( on sale, wearing a size XS)!

SWEATER | DENIM | SANDALS | SUNGLASSES

1. I had my 2nd microneedling appointment done 2 weeks ago. You can read more about my first treatment HERE. Dr. Zoe is a magician! This time we went deeper on my face and added my neck and chest. It took longer to heal than the first treatment, but the results are equally as great! A week later I went back in for botox. I’ve been getting botox on my forehead for about 6 or 7 years, but have never experienced such a detailed appointment. For real. Zoe mapped out my face and marked all the spots she was injecting. Best botox I’ve had, no joke! My face still has movement and doesn’t look frozen, which is what I prefer. Also, I’ve been using her C20 serum and I LOVE it! You wear it during the day under your makeup. C20 builds collagen and lightens dark pigmentation. Best part..safe for pregnant and nursing. I’m hooked. Email feelgood@perfectfacelajolla.com to order!

 2. I lost a good friend last weekend. Jeff Brown. He passed away in a terrible hiking accident. I found out on Sunday, my birthday. I only tell you that because it was a humbling experience. For someone who dreads their birthday (me) and turning older to find out a friend had passed and wont have the chance to have another birthday. My selfish fears on aging quickly shifted into gratitude. Jeff  Brown was the first guy I dated after my divorce. He was living in Huntington Beach and I was in Arizona. We went out a dozen times or so; he’d come to AZ or when I came to California we’d meet up. He was a great friend to me and anyone who knew him. Kind, adventurous, witty. He had a passion for music and would make my running playlists. Jeff remained a good friend throughout the years always encouraging, supporting my move to California, congratulating my Jeff and I on our wedding, sending me a message after I had Ozzy telling me how happy he was for me. A true stand up gentleman.  He will be greatly missed. I am so sad for his family. Life can be brutal. This is yet another reminder to live your life well. Be proud of your choices. Make amends. Live a life of integrity. Be remembered for good.

3. School started Monday for Goldie. Avery and Poppy start next Tuesday. Only one child in elementary school…crazy! Literally the fastest summer yet. Back to early mornings, packing lunches, homework, activities and a scheduled bedtime. I saw on Good Morning America yesterday the recommended bedtime for a 7 year old is 8:45. Glad Gold wasn’t home to see that. I put her in bed at 8 sharp. Sometimes 7:30 in the winter when it gets dark at 5. Avery and Poppy are in bed by 9. What time do your kids go to sleep?
