Golden hour

Golden hour in Connecticut took on an entirely new meaning yesterday. It’s warming up and it’s almost spring. I even heard birds chirping. I was so giddy this weekend and couldn’t stop smiling. No more shivering and layering jackets on top of jackets. I found an amazing deal for all of you tonight. My favorite flare jeans by FRAME DENIM are now marked down to $83! Usually $240 for these designer jeans. I love the belt loops and the pockets in the front. They are really great!

Okay so I wanted to answer this question I’ve gotten lately. Where is your wedding ring? It’s hard to talk about because it makes me really sad and bummed. I was staying at a hotel in NYC and it was stolen out of my room. I was with my 3 kids and they wanted to quickly run downstairs to get some food and I left it in the bathroom. We were gone for 3o minutes top and it was gone! The worst part about this was the service we got when we reported this. They were not easy to work with. We even got the NYPD involved and it still hasn’t shown up. Long story short, thank goodness for insurance. Thank goodness for the amazing and understanding husband I have. And thank goodness for hotel safes. I’ll never leave anything valuable in a hotel room (even if it’s the Palace Hotel, wink wink) without being in a safe. That was one of my favorite places to stay and now it’s on my bad list. I’m sad about that as well. Learn from my mistakes while you travel. Even 30 minutes out of your room with the “do not disturb sign” can lead to someone stealing.

xx

  1. Im so sorry about your ring! Im sad for you. I have learned the hard way as well. My husband left $2000 in a pair of shorts on our honeymoon in Tahiti. We are positive it was housekeeping as our room was cleaned up while we were away. We now do not keep anything out and in a safe. Good luck to finding something just as special.

  2. Oh my goodness….that is so terrible about your wedding ring. I cannot believe someone would take something that is so personal. Yes, thank goodness for insurance. I hope you get something fabulous to replace it even though I know you’re original can never be replaced.

    • i have tears just reading your comment. It is so personal. I’ve been to the jeweler 10 times now and leave sad because you are right. Nothing can replace the first! Thanks for your comment
