Ozzy Monroe Allen

Hi guys! I’m so happy to announce Ozzy Monroe Allen was born on April 8th at 5:59 pm weighing 7 pounds 7 ounces and 19 inches long. It was a long labor, 18 hours, but I only had to push through 3 contractions before she made her debut. Ozzy was delivered by a midwife at the hospital, my first time experiencing a midwife. I was hesitant, and ended up loving it. It prolonged my labor, but made the delivery that much easier.

There is nothing more special than seeing one of Heavenly Father’s children enter the world. There is also nothing sweeter than a dad meeting their daughter for the first time. 

The first 48 hours have been really good. She was a total dream in the hospital. I felt so bad for the room next to mine. Their baby cried the ENTIRE night. Made me that much more grateful for Ozzy’s sweet demeanor. I left the hospital exactly 24 hours after delivery, we came home and put Oz in the SNOO (read about it in my BABY REGISTRY post). She was wide awake most of the night and ended up in her Dock a Tot. Jeff and I took her on a walk in Del Mar in her STROLLER (it’s amazing) and grabbed a salad at Del Mar Pizza before coming back home.

I had a few fun packages at my door the day I delivered and I when I got home. Several fun things I can wear now that I’m not pregnant. Well, not now. I can’t even get this Belly Bandit around my waist yet. I should have ordered the small for now and the xs to wear in a couple of weeks. I love being a mom. I’m grateful Ozzy came into the world to join our family! She is so loved.
