Maxi Dress Fever

If you’re new to this blog, I’m Jenna. I grew up on the west coast for most of my life. Now, I feel like I’m a west coast girl trying to make sense of the east coast world I live in. I have 3 kids. I had all 3 of them in 3 years! We spent 2 years living downtown Manhattan. You can imagine how crazy times were with a 3 year old, 14 month old and newborn. On a daily basis tourists would ask to take my picture because I was strolling through NYC with the biggest stroller they had ever seen. It was pretty funny. Now we live right outside the city because my husband works in Times Square. People out here on the east coast work crazy amounts of hours. I’m talking 100’s of hours a week. No joke. You should see my neighborhood in the morning. Sometimes it feels a little like the Stepford Wives neighborhood but not as extreme. A lot of the men walk out the front door in suits and ties with their brief cases ready to catch the 8am train to NYC. I’m completely used to this but when my brother was in town he couldn’t stop talking about how different life is out here on the east coast.
In the summer most families have their kids in all day camp or sleep away camp. My kids have been missing their friends so we were excited to go to the Hamptons last week for a couple days. It’s so dreamy out there on the water. It’s pretty surreal to drive around certain parts and see where the rich & famous live. We might have driven past Jimmy Fallon’s house a couple times to see if he was home. I packed my favorite maxi dress to lounge around in. I’m actually kind of obsessed with wearing Maxi dresses all fall. They are easy to throw on and go. This one is really great because it’s on sale! It sold out on Nordstrom but I found it here. It’s an easy transition piece. Wear it now with sandals and booties in the fall. Hope all of you have a great Monday!
