A Saturday in Paris

Hi guys! I’m back from one of my favorite trips, PARIS! Did you see this post on PACKING FOR PARIS. I also shared a few things I purchased while there. (wink, wink) I spent a lot of time online wanting someone to share how to see local attractions and catch a glimpse of the trendy spots. I found a ton of reviews on museums and top TEN restaurants but I wanted to see more than that. I guess I wanted to spend my last day in Paris doing what the locals do but not miss out on the attractions I still wanted to see. Check out my list below.

Saturday in Paris

This was our last day in Paris. I wanted to pack everything in and see everything. After a little research I decided to spend the day like this.

1.Farmer’s Market – It’s incredible! All the food you can imagine. The fresh fruit and baked goods were my favorite. I also loved walking through and talking to the locals. Artisans from every kind of craft. Rugs, hats, scarves, baby clothes, etc. Saturday during the summer months. Don’t pass up the chocolate croissants. They are heaven and you only live once so be a “YES” kind of a girl on this trip!

2.Hit the most famous street in Europe, The Avenue des Champs-Élysées and SHOP! I could have spent days (actually months) on this street. So many new shops to discover.

3. Stop at Laudree while walking the avenue des champs-elysees for a beautiful lunch or go inside the boutique for the macaroons. This is very girly and is famous around the world.

4. Take pictures at the end of the avenue at, The Arc de Triomphe.

5.Eat the pizza! Prosciutto & arugula with fresh mozzarella cheese. AMAZING!!!!

6.Ride a bike cab and experience the fun and craziness of riding on the open streets of Paris.

7.Spend time in the park and ride the Ferris wheel at Fontaines du Jardin Tuileries. Eat gelato, lots of it!

8.Walk to the Louvre to admire the pyramid and adore the greatness of this museum or head to the Musée d’Orsay to see Monet’s famous painting – Waterlillies.

9.Dine where the locals eat. We had an amazing dinner at a Restaurant named Gloria. It took about TWO hours and was amazing!

10.Walk where locals walk – Rue Cler ( the most famous market street in Paris) This is a trendy street for the locals. You’ll find cafes, restaurants, artisans, crepe stands, and flower shops. You can see how the locals live!

11.Boat Tour at 10:00pm. The sun sets very late in the summer. We watched the sun set while boating down the Sienne River. Locals line the river with music and dancing. It’s quite the site to see!

12.Get off the boat and walk up the stairs to the Eiffel Tour. Eat a homemade crepe with Nutella at midnight while the sparkling lights are going off on the Eiffel Tower.

  2. What farmers market did you visit? Also could you tell me where you got the pizza? It looks delicious! I go to Paris in two weeks!
