Unleash Your Awesome with Core Power

I know I’ve talked about this before, but after having Ozzy, I felt really out shape. Having FOUR babies is no joke and I just didn’t really know what to expect since it had been so long since I had been pregnant with Goldie. Before getting pregnant with Ozzy, I was regularly attending classes at Orange Theory Fitness. I truly feel felt like I was in the best shape. After having Ozzy, I knew things were going to have to change for me to feel as good as I did before having her. I talked about how I found and started incorporating Core Power into my routine here and all of the Core Power benefits here, and I am still loving it. Adding Core Power into my routine was a simple change to my fitness routine that I feel has made a huge impact on my endurance and recovery.

It took me a while to be able to go back to Orange Theory after Ozzy because it’s a rigorous and challenging workout. I knew I needed extra protein to help maintain my muscles and give me the nutrients I needed to recover from such a touch tough workout. Sometimes after finishing a class, I just have to sit in my car for a few minutes before leaving the parking lot to wait until I can feel my legs again. I always keep Core Power in my gym bag and in the center console of my car and it is perfect for when I leave Orange Theory. The workout is a good balance of lifting weights, rowing, and of course, the dreaded cardio. Even though you are in a room with others and are all doing the same workout, I always feel like I am my own biggest competition. I remember how I felt before having Ozzy and I also remember how much energy I had so that I could push myself. Every time I go to a class, I use those memories to drive me because I want to get back to that point.  You what’s even better? I got the running bug back! I used to run 3-6 miles each day and even ran a full marathon. I thought that season of life had passed and coming back to Orange Theory, combined with proper post workout nutrition, like my Core Power inspired me to start running again in the evenings.

I know where I was and I know that it’s going to still take some time to get back, but I really do feel awesome and I am proud of the point I’m at now! I love the routine I’m in and I see such a huge difference in adding in real protein and so many vitamins and nutrients right after my workouts. If you haven’t tried it yet, it’s time you start!
