DRESS (similar. Mine is Leith and available in stores)| HEELS | LIPS

The holidays are almost here and I just really can’t believe the year is almost over. I’ve always loved the celebration that comes with the holidays, the food, parties, family & friends, all of it. We will be with extended family for Thanksgiving and we are going to Hawaii for a few days before Christmas as the kids’ present, mine too;)

There are a few get-togethers within the next couple weeks and I have started looking for pieces to wear! I like to find pieces that are versatile and can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. I also like classic options that can be worn in future years or different seasons! If you’ve been following along for a while, you know that Nordstrom is my go-to for all things! They have an incredible selection of holiday pieces this year.

Looking for holiday pieces, I start by choosing a statement item! The holidays are a great excuse to wear an amazing velvet or metallic dress, something you’ve been keeping in your closet for the right event! I don’t typically wear plaid, but when I find something I love I wear it all season long. Start with a statement piece, mix textures or patterns, and then choose your classics!

Velvet:

I love this simple t-shirt, would be so cute paired with denim and booties!

Amazing velvet skirt!

These blue platforms are staying in my closet for a long time, I’m obsessed.

This mustard top is going to be on repeat. And short sleeves are perfect for warm, California winters.

This body suit is incredible, so flattering and the color is perfection.

Metallic:

This romper is incredible and would look great with a long sleeve or turtleneck under! Or even a moto jacket over top! And it’s under $50!

Blush metallic is always a good idea and the shape is so flattering.

This dress is simple and statement all at the same time.

This silver moto jacket deserves an award, so good.

Does your family do a big Thanksgiving Day football game? These Nikes would be amazing.

Plaid:

I don’t do plaid often, but I’m really loving this top! And the neck tie detail is so beautiful.

Christmas plaid and ruffles, under $30!

This cape scarf is so beautiful.

I’ll wear a Michael Stars shirt dress any day!

Neutral plaid, love this top.

Classics:

A classic LBD that can be worn any time of year, dressed up for the holidays, and under $30!!!

Most flattering wrap dress.

Sweatshirt dress that’s cozy and cute.

I love this simple, jersey bodysuit.

Have I talked enough about Madewell denim? Here’s me telling you again, they are my favorite and everyone needs a pair.

Black & White

If this outfit looks familiar, it’s because I’ve been wearing some variation of it on repeat. I can never quit vans with a white top and a good pair of denim, and this pair is under $100 (run, now, they still have sizes in stock)! Plus, you can never have enough white tops!

I’ve been searching for a few new items to wear this fall that are comfortable, can be layered in colder weather, and flowy! Anyone else as addicted to Free People as I am? I always find the best pieces for any season and I could even wear most of my FP tops while I was pregnant.

Macy’s is my first stop for Free People items because they have such a large selection online or in stores, which I love. They also always have items on sale! Fall is weird here in Southern California, although I’m not complaining because I will take sun and sand over snow any day. Most days recently have been chilly in the mornings and evenings and mid 70’s during the day, so light sweaters or heavy tops are perfect. I like to throw on a hat or a beanie on cooler days. Temperatures don’t vary much here between fall and winter, but I’ve found some great pieces that would be a great for the transition or can be layered!

This mustard moto jacket is amazing and it’s under $100.

I also really love this faux-leather moto with brass hardware.

I really like this classic long sleeve t-shirt.

I love the sleeves on this sweater and all of the colors are really pretty for fall or winter.

This jumpsuit is incredible. I love that it’s sweater material and perfect for layering.

This bomber jacket is really fun and would be great for a date night or those colder winter days!

Every girl needs a casual hoodie that still makes you feel cute. I love this one.

Really loving this cozy sweater.

Love this dress! It would be so pretty paired with a sweater, for a holiday party, or family pictures and it’s under $100!

I am obsessed with this wrap scarf. I love the bold colors and fringe!
