I don’t know about you but the summer months are extra hectic for me. It’s actually much harder for me to get a great workout. My kids are finally home everyday and all I want to do is hang out with them. New York City comes alive in the summer and I want to be apart of it. This means working out less at the gym and more on my own.
A typical summer morning for me involves a long run before the kids wake up. I run stairs in a near by plaza, followed by jump roping and arm weights. On weekends I try and sneak to a mega former class (CST50) or a soul cycle class to get my cardio fix. Have you done a mega former class? If you haven’t let me challenge you to google a megaformer class in your area. It’s hands down the best class I’ve ever taken. You will get muscles you never knew you had. Mostly, you will feel strong and to me that is super empowering. You learn that you can do hard things. It has honestly helped me in my personal life so much. Try it, I dare you. 🙂
I’m pretty much known for living in workout clothes during the summer. I mean, why not? Activewear is having a major fashion moment right now and I’m all about being as comfortable as possible, especially when being with my kids 24/7. I’m obsessed with Finish Line.
