take it to the track

You guys..we’re in Arizona right now! We came in Friday night and leave this afternoon. It’s a quick trip and that’s okay, because it’s hoooooot. So far we’ve been able to see both families, which we love. After lunch with Jeff’s family we took the girls to Octane Racing in Scottsdale. Saddest thing, one of my kids (will remain nameless) crashed her car, like every turn. I’m not exaggerating either. Crashing hard! After about 2 laps, they had to stop the race and pull her out. She just kept crashing, over and over annnnnd over…Poor thing, she came out crying saying how terrible it was. The whole time I was watching I knew I had to tell her my last experience at that very same racetrack. Rewind 6 years, I was newly single and on a date at that track. I was good for maybe 1.5 laps before I took a turn so hard that I literally crashed my car into a stack of tires set up as a bumper. The stack came falling down on me (I can’t stop laughing as I type this) and they also had to stop my race and pull me out. It was such a hard crash and my arm was swollen, etc that the manager came out to make sure I was fine, most likely afraid I’d sue them. I did notice today they removed those stacks of tires. So I guess my kids can thank me for that.
