#OOTD + Pregnancy Update

Happy Tuesday! I’m in the final stretch of this pregnancy and have to be honest…I’m SO over it. I first announced being PREGNANT with #4, followed by letting you know this will be my FOURTH DAUGHTER, then my PREGNANCY Q&A which was fun to write and most recently my BABY REGISTRY POST filled with over 70 products I have ready for this baby along with a MAJOR GIVEAWAY!  You can read my pregnancy update below, but before you do check out this JERSEY KNIT CARDIGAN!! It’s so thin and soft, I’ll be able to wear it all through spring. For real, it’s GOOD! Lisa Allen wearing a grey anthropologie cardigan, madewell maternity jeans and checkered Vans

JERSEY KNIT CARDIGAN | TEE | JEANS | VANS | SUNGLASSES

How much longer: 6.5 more weeks to go

How much I have gained: 38lbs!! WTH. I’m still logging my food daily and based on the calories I’m taking in, I should not have gained this much. My doctor isn’t concerned though. At this point I get on the scale and we laugh (better to laugh than cry;)). I had been on hormone therapy with a natural doctor before I got pregnant, taking a thyroid supplement which could have something to do with the amount I’ve gained, but really I just gain a lot with my kids. As frustrating as it is for me, I know with A TON of hard work I will lose it.

Have I selected a name: No!! Remember I said in my Q&A that I had one, but Jeff wasn’t a fan? Well, the name was Lemon. I still love it. But it’s not happening, so someone else use it and tag me so I can see your sweet Lemon. Another name we liked but have decided against: Clementine. Both great names, just not going to happen with this baby.

Favorite maternity outfits: for sure the MAXI DRESS I wore in this DRESSES UNDER $100 post, this CONCERT TEE from THIS POST, & this SHIRTDRESS from THIS POST. Also, this BLACK DRESS ( found on SALE) I wore in THIS POST. Once I posted this photo there was lots of buzz going around that I was pregnant even though I was trying to hide it for a couple more weeks.

Is the nursery finished: the CRIB and DRESSER I told you about in my BABY REGISTRY post are being delivered tomorrow. Wallpaper should arrive next week. Jeff will start building Goldie’s loft bed next week as well. Currently my office is filled with boxes of baby products and gear. I have major issues with clutter and piles. Like they send me over the edge with frustration. Living in a renovation has already tested my patience. Adding a new baby and wanting to nest and have everything ready for her arrival while renovating adds a whole new level of angst I didn’t know existed till this month…

  1. You look great! And I love the name clementine! I have a friend who named her baby girl Sunny Clementine and it’s just perfect. Sunny would be a great name!

  2. You are darling. I mean, c’mon….38 lbs??! I would’ve never guessed even close to the range. I wish I would have been been as fashion forward when prego. You make it look good and easy…as we all know, it’s not! And ps, both girl names are citrus. You can’t really go wrong. I would just hurry and sneak it on that one hospital paper….you know, the one with the name?? And, I love the name Lemon Her own emoticon too

    • Jamie!! So fun hearing From you! It’s tempting to send jeff surfing while I fill out her birth certificate record Hope you’re well! xxo

  3. If it makes you feel better, my midwives say the amount your body gains is purely based on how much your body needs for milk production. So even if you’re super careful about what you eat, your body will store the “right” amount to make sure you can feed your baby after she is born.

    • ahh, very interesting. I’m going to look into that info more. thanks for sharing! XXO lisa

  4. Violet would be a beautiful name!! My granddaughters are Winter Rose and Violet Cecile. Hang in there these last weeks…They can be so hard.

  5. Your girls seriously have the best names! So no doubt #4 will have one too. Both Lemon and Clementine are seriously adorbs—even if ya’ll aren’t using them!

    • thank you! I love the girls names as well. It’s proving to be more difficult than I expected to come up with a fourth girl name.

  6. You are really cute pregnant! I gain in the high 40’s as well I had a daughter 4 months ago and Lemon was on my list! I blame heart of Dixie:) I also liked Avenue (Avey for short) but Della won. Good luck with your last bit of pregnancy, can’t wait to hear what name you choose!

    • Sounds like we’re in the same boat! Glad you liked Lemon as well. You’re names are all so good! Congrats! XXO lisa

  7. Such a nice break from the shopping/deals posts!

I feel like we needed some increased variety, thank you!

    • Hi Andi, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. Appreciate your support. Have a great day! Lisa

  8. What about the name Lennon? Close to Lemon, and it’s still very unique and so cute. Just throwing it out there 😉

    • We had Lennon on our list, but I think it’s becoming more common or at least I’ve heard of about 5 in the last couple months where I live. It’s super cute though!

  9. It’s interesting that you mention the thyroid med in terms of your pregnancy weight. I’m a very petite person when I’m not pregnant, but gain a lot of weight when I am pregnant. Last pregnancy, I gained 42lbs. I’m up 20lbs right now, but I’m only 22 weeks, so I have a while to go. Anyways, I didn’t expect to gain so much while pg, but,I too, am on natural thyroid replacement (specifically Armour thyroid, which I absolutely love by the way). I wonder if that has something to do with making us gain a little bit more than usual. So strange. It’s just interesting to hear someone else with a similar experience. I’m very much a health nut & eat well & exercise. I know it’ll come off with a lot of sweat equity! Good luck with your delivery.

    • Hi Marissa!
Congrats on your pregnancy! I can’t be 100% sure if thats why or just because I naturally gain and hold onto weight with all the extra hormones in my system. My doctor thinks it has something to do with it. I’m not too worried, this is my fourth and I always get back to my pre-weight within a year.Good luck! XXO lisa
