New Tops + 3 things on my mind…

Finding new tops that work with my bump has been bit challenging. I’m almost 17 weeks and just starting to hit that stage where it’s obvious I’m pregnant and not just overeating;) But from about 10 weeks till now I’ve been looking for tops that are a little loose around my stomach to avoid the confused looks at school pick-up. I mean no one should actually ask you if you are pregnant until you look like you’re on your way to the hospital to deliver that baby. They may want to ask, but don’t to avoid any awkward conversation. I picked up this navy lace top a few weeks ago, it’s a good one! Just don’t wear a white undershirt under it like I did, should’ve worn this nude tank I love. Oops..

Fortunately there are so many incredible tops out year round that work for everyone, pregnant or not. Here are a couple of my favorite:

This colorful top is a total winner in my book!

The details on this ivory blouse are so pretty!

Wearing this one today, I’m in love!

3 things on my mind…

1.Anyone else feel like Halloween lasts longer than any other holiday? From school and friend parties, to church activities, the kids dress up at least 4 times BEFORE the 31st. Poppy is the biggest Halloween fanatic in our home. She legitimately starts planning her costume for the next year on November 1st and makes them herself, which I love so much. This year she and her friend were the Grady Twins from The Shining. My sister in law Kirsten created all her families costumes this year. You have to see my niece, Naomi as Maz from Star Wars on Kirsten’s Instagram @kirstenelise It’s the cutest thing!

2. I wore these shoes last night and boy were they AMAZING. Light as air! I think I’ve found a nice alternative to my Nike Free’s! Give them a try. I want both colors, they are that good!

3.I’m almost ready to go all in and wear maternity jeans. Let’s be honest, I can’t breath in my normal jeans, so really I need to just go for it! So far I’ve ordered this pair, and already returned. The fit was really bad on me. I have friends that swear by them..maybe I just bought the wrong style or wash? They felt like sandpaper going on. I’ve kept this pair and also these. Love them both! What are some of your favorite brands for maternity jeans?

  1. AG Jeans Legging Ankle maternity jeans are amazing! so soft, stretch without stretching out, and ankle length for us shorties! i lived in them during my last pregnancy.

    • Hey Heather, thanks for the recommendations. I haven’t tried the AG maternity before. I’ll order a pair for sure! XXO lisa

  2. The Jcrew toothpick maternity jeans are nice. Madewell just came out with a few pairs of maternity jeans as well that I like. I got my favorite pair from shopbop,Paige denim. I love mine!! I just had my second baby six weeks ago and I am still wearing my Paige jeans cause I love them so much and I’m not quite back to my normal pre baby weight.

I’ve had 6 babies and bought them with my 4th preg. They are so good and have worn really well. The fact that they don’t have a panel makes then nice too for the first few weeks after bsby when you want to wear normal looking pants but not ready for pre-preg jeans 🙂
