5 Ways to keep your HEALTH ON TRACK

It’s the first of March! How are those New Year  Resolutions going? Did you already forget about them? Or maybe you are hanging on and still going strong.

Here are FIVE things I do to keep on track with my health & fitness….

1.I eat a huge salad for at least one meal a day. ALWAYS! Here are TWO salads I make weekly

All Green Kale Salad ( I now massage my kale) more on it here  ||  Best Trader Joe’s Salad (a hodge podge of the best trader joes ingredients)

2.I keep these G2G Bars close by everyday. I eat one a day. Usually around 3:00 when I’m craving sugar. It tastes like a no-bake cookie. I get so sick of people saying protein bars are good. I mean seriously? Most of them taste like chalk. I don’t want to waste calories on them. Anyways, these G2G bars taste really good. Also gluten free! When you eat one…you’ll know. My favorite — chocolate chip & peanut butter combos. I keep them cold in the refrigerator.

3.This might seem funny but I eat popcorn every single night. I get the guilt free popcorn form Trader Joes and I use pink sea salt. 2-3 cups when the kids are in bed. I’ll watch a show, read, or catch up on work. I have moments during the day when I pass on treats or other things that aren’t in my diet. I think of my happy time at night with my popcorn. Find something you can look forward to that will help you feel better about saying no to things that won’t ultimately help you reach your goals. You need to be prepared because we have to learn to say no in order to reach goals.

I also invested in an air popcorn popper. I drizzle my popcorn with coconut oil and pink sea salt. Best treat in the world! I just discovered these microwave poppers and would love try it. Seems so easy!

4.Workout Clothes are key! Find pieces of workout gear that you feel comfortable wearing. Invest in a few pairs of great leggings so you feel confident. Or get fitted for the right sports bra. Whatever it is, take time to find the right gear to work out in.

5.Keep a journal.  I don’t have a lot of time (who does??) to write in my journal but I leave myself little notes or quotes I hear during the day that stick with me. I love instructors that challenge me mentally. I also write about challenges or moments when I feel strong. It’s really motivating to look back and see how far you can grow as a person. Health isn’t about a number on the scale, it’s about taking care of your body the best you can. It’s a long journey we will do for the rest of our lives. I love this weekly calendar. Easy to jot down what classes and meals I’m doing. Also little notes or quotes.

okay I’m adding just one more thing…

The biggest change in my skin and body  happens when I’m UP on my water intake. Water is KEY! Use anything that will help you track your water intake. It’s a huge deal. I’m waiting for this stainless steel tumbler in the mail.

I also wanted to share this amazing CC Cream I’ve been wearing the last couple weeks. It caught my attention because it has SPF 50 in it. I also love the other products from this line so I decided to give it a try. I’m obsessed with it!

It’s your skin but better CC cream  (apply before heading out for your errands or workouts, the SPF 50 is a peace of mind and the cc cream leaves your skin looking make-up free and flawless)
