Crockpot Nutella Hot Chocolate

My kids love hot chocolate.  I’m not a big fan of warm beverages, it must be the cold diet Coke in my system that keeps me away;) I however do like Nutella so the kids and I came up with a Crockpot Nutella Hot Chocolate and I must admit..it’s GOOD! Only 5 ingredients that you literally just dump into your crockpot and let simmer on low for 1.5 hours. Perfect for holiday parties and movie nights with the kids and their friends. Here’s what we did: img_4190

ADD:

1 half gallon jug of skim milk

1 14oz can of sweetened condensed milk

1 tablespoon of vanilla (my favorite is this one from Williams Sonoma, it’s UNREAL)

1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder

pinch of salt

1 and 1/4 cups of Nutella (don’t forget to lick that spoon after!)

DIRECTIONS:

spray crockpot(my favorite crockpot, ever)  with non-stick cooking spray

add all the ingredients from above and whisk until blended

Cover and simmer on low for 1.5-2 hours. I would recommend to mix it one more time after about an hour

That’t it! Top with anything you like: whip cream, more Nutella, crushed peppermints, marshmallows. img_4191

    • of course you can. I actually do that too. When I get my drinks at starbucks I only use coconut milk. XX
