L&L has a birthday in the family! Miss Haven turns 9 today and is it just me or does time go by extra fast as a mom? Not to get sappy or anything but it seems as though just yesterday this girl made me a mother! From the time I was young I can remember thinking "I wonder what my kids will be like" and sometimes it's crazy that I'm living in the present of finally raising my own children. I can't lie that it is one of the hardest things I have ever done. But it's so wonderful at the same time. I'm constantly learning and trying to figure this whole parenting thing out. I have struck out a fair share of times. But I guess what I have realized is that the most important thing is to cherish every moment with them. It goes too quick. Instead of worrying about the next load of laundry (that will always be there by the way) I am making it a priority to play a quick game of go fish or spontaneously loading everyone in the car for that run to the ice cream shop. It's the little things in life.

ReplyDeletei can remember like it was yesterday. "how is this baby coming out?" I had so many nightmares of horrible labors. And it ended up kind of like that. but somehow I thought it was worth it and did it again a couple more times. miniature people are kind of fun! xo Kel
