Stretching is crucial while working out. There are so many benefits to why you should stretch before and after each work out. I just went to my first hot yoga class and couldn’t believe how amazing my body felt after the class. Have you done a hot yoga class? It was so intense! I didn’t realize how tight my muscles were from not stretching enough. This class was unreal! First of all I was super intimidated because it was 75 minutes long. It felt so good to sweat it out and really get into lengthening my muscles. I’m realizing that I need to do this at least once a week. On the other days I’m committed to keeping up with my flexibility by stretching for at least 15 minutes a day. You’ll notice a huge difference especially with creating longer and leaner muscles. Push yourself on your fitness journey. I mix it up every week with new classes and new ways to reach my goals.

Stretching should not cause pain. You should feel tightening but not pain. Hold your stretch positions for at least 10-20 seconds.
